Students enrolled in this bootcamp will learn the foundational principles of collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, and they will learn about the important business intelligence tools that professionals use to streamline the process of analyzing data. Students will learn how to use Excel, Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to organize and visualize data, and they will learn the basics of Python and SQL for database management. At the end of the course, students will complete a capstone project designed to give them practical data analytics experience and provide them with a tangible project they can include in their job materials once they enter the job market. This is a beginner-friendly course, but students will want to be comfortable with basic statistics.

Data Science: Today, businesses and institutions rely heavily on their ability to collect and analyze data to make sound and informed decisions. Data Scientists are the computer programmers responsible for making this data collection and analysis possible. In this course, students will learn to use Python and SQL to build databases and automated systems that collect, organize and visualize data. In addition to learning these programming languages, they will learn how to use the most common data analysis tools, including Tableau and Microsoft Power BI. The course will also introduce students to machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms poised to revolutionize how professional data science projects operate. The bootcamp also covers other emerging technologies and trends in the field of data science so that attendees can stay on top of the landscape of the field. The course ends with a real-world case study capstone project that will see students working with actual datasets to gain practical data science experience and have a completed project that they can show to prospective employers

Digital Marketing: As Americans spend more and more time each day online, digital marketing has become a central part of most companies’ long-term marketing strategies. Many companies have begun to forgo traditional marketing entirely and focus entirely on online advertising and distribution models. To do this, companies are hiring more digital marketing specialists, and General Assembly is offering a bootcamp to help you master these skills. In this course, students will learn marketing skills and best practices to help them design and plan a digital marketing campaign. Then, students will learn how to use tools such as Google Analytics and Amazon Web Services to maximize the reach and visibility of their advertising campaigns. Finally, students will learn how to utilize online platforms (like Facebook or Instagram) and dedicated online marketing tools (like Google Ads). The capstone project will see students building their own digital marketing campaign from the ground up, giving them a completed project to add to their professional portfolio.

Software Immersive: Computer technology developments are constantly changing how we interact with the world around us. This ranges from obvious developments like the computer applications we use to the subtle ways software optimizes everything from business to traffic flow. These software programs result from hard work and development by Software Engineers, and professionals with these skills are in high demand. In the Software Immersive Bootcamp, students will prepare for a career in software development by learning various coding languages and frameworks, including JavaScript and its libraries, Python and Django. Students will also learn to work with APIs and important efficiency tools like Git and GitHub. By the end of the class, students will have undertaken a practical education in software development and will have a portfolio of working software designs that they can take onto the job market.

User Experience Design: User experience design is the art and science of building the interactive elements of a digital application that is easy to use, accessible and user-friendly. This process involves a lot of user testing and iteration, so anyone looking to become a UX Designer will likely want to get professional training such as the training offered in this bootcamp. In this immersive bootcamp, students will learn industry-standard best practices developed in conjunction with General Assembly’s team of corporate partners. Students will learn how to design digital interfaces using Figma, and they will get hands-on experience testing and iterating on those designs to create completed UX design prototypes. Much of the UX design process emphasizes user testing, gathering, and acting upon user feedback. In this course, students will learn how to collect and interpret that feedback and gain experience synthesizing that feedback for stakeholders and teams of developers. By the end of the class, students will have a collection of sample UX designs that they can use to demonstrate their proficiency to prospective employers.

Front-end Web Development: Front-end development refers to the elements of a webpage that the end user sees and interacts with, everything ranging from text and buttons to the totality of the user interface. In this professional skills bootcamp, students will learn the most common programming languages Front-end Web Developers utilize. The course will give students hands-on experience with industry-standard programming languages like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. In this bootcamp, instructors will guide students through building simple web applications using HTML and CSS and then adding interactivity and complex functionalities using JavaScript. With this technical knowledge in hand, students will move on to learning the subtleties of designing responsive, accessible websites, and they will learn the basics of user interface design. This is a career-focused training program, meaning that students will be learning practical skills that they can use to start applying to software engineering and web development jobs.

JavaScript Development: More than any other programming language, JavaScript defines the 

Modern internet landscape. Almost all webpages use JavaScript, and it is utilized to program the interactive functionalities that most internet users expect from modern web applications. In this bootcamp, students will have the chance to receive guided instruction on the technical process of programming a webpage utilizing JavaScript. In addition to learning how to use JavaScript, students will also receive training in several important JavaScript libraries, including jQuery for database management. Students will work on hands-on projects that mirror the programming tasks that professional JavaScript Developers work on, giving them the practical experience they need to be prepared for a career in the field. The course concludes with a capstone project that sees students designing a working, complex single-page application with a wide range of different JavaScript functionalities. Product Management: In the modern business world, few, if any, large-scale design projects are done by small teams. Rather, software and product development projects are the results of dozens or even hundreds of employees working together, and this requires skilled managers to oversee and organize the process. In this bootcamp, students will learn practical, real-world design skills and management techniques that emphasize skills like market-testing, budgeting and human resource management. Students enrolled in this class will work with Agile best practices and learn how to negotiate the needs of multiple stakeholders and invested parties. Students will also learn the practical, day-to-day process of managing different teams of employees during complex projects. Product management can be more of an art than a science, but learning best practices and understanding the different factors and concerns that must be considered during the development cycle is a vital first step in ensuring your product launches successfully. Students will complete the course by working on a sample project outline to add to their job application materials and evidence of their product management training and skills.

React Development: Students with a measure of JavaScript experience may be interested in learning more advanced JS programming skills, including the use of Meta’s React framework. This JavaScript library is designed to help programmers create flexible components and props that can be utilized in almost any web design project. In this course, students will learn the basics of the React library and they will get hands-on instruction in its most common uses as a JavaScript development tool. This course aims to help students build on their efficiency and depth of knowledge as Front-end Web Developers and learning React will greatly improve the complexity of the web applications that they can work on. In this course, students will develop practical web design skills and they will work on real-world projects that they can add to their design portfolio when they enter the job market. This course is for students with a firm grasp of JavaScript and web design, but it is a great way for students to expand their knowledge and build more marketable skills.

This course aims to teach students the skills and best practices to design the visual elements of webpages, user interfaces and other digital applications. In this class, students will learn the basics of using Figma to design web applications and user interface layouts, and they will work with tools like Photoshop and Illustrator to design the visual assets that will populate the final design.
